UCLA Asia Pacific Performance Exchange
Artivism is the combination of art and activism; it is an attempt to extend and blend both realms. I hope that artistic expression can be seen as a valid and worthy form of political expression and engagement, and that, over time, an ethic of theater, art, and culture can be built into our social and political functions. Through my work, I strive to imagine and create a society that is just and equitable.
That being said, my projects vary in focus and form from educational, to more research-based, to the avant-garde, and just plain wacky street theater!
