What happens when words shrivel up, like dried leaves, and blow away?
Do you chase them down, demanding meaning?
How do you move in the world when dreams scatter? When promises of change go up in flames?
Do you wrap yourself in gauze?
I have been tossed around by hot winds of despair. When I’m confused, discernment feels hard.
“It’s just a phase”, I say, about my son’s rage, sometimes expressed in song!
And then, an unlikely lesson from my son’s favorite movie: Rataouille! In this scene Remy is locked in a heated battle with his father, who insists that rats can never trust humans, nor dream beyond their current patterns of survival.
Remy, gently, reminds him that change is in our DNA. It is nature. We all know how to do it, cellularly, we just need to discern when and how to move forward.

In the past few months There is a Portal has bent time and space. Through continuous work, we have uncovered core pieces of the project, what we are most connected to and rooted in, what we are offering this moment, and how it will live into the future.
Below are some of the ways time has bent us, and how we are bending with time. Like roots of a great tree, we are stretching in order to elevate this project it to its true potential.

The community pedagogy team has grounded deeply into narrative, language, and shaping the heart of our educational and leadership development offerings. In our conversations and through experiments with audiences, we have unearthed a language of the pedagogy.

We need to be in a studio, with professional lights, proper cameras, and high quality sound to complete the digital production! As studios tentatively open through COVID-19, we are looking for the support to produce the scenes we need at the highest quality possible.
Together we can direct our knowing, our desires, and our hearts towards narratives of belonging that hold open a portal to our deepest potential!
